I started reading this book about a month ago. So far I have enjoyed it. It has been helpful, especially being where I am and meeting so many people who think the bible is not valid. I would recommend this book to anyone, it is good for anyone anywhere. It seems like more and more people don't read the Bible and also it seems to me more and more people are growing up in households where the Bible is not important. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Great points and recommendation, Carl Henry. I like all of Geisler's stuff, but haven't read that one yet. Years ago, the book he edited called _Inerrancy_ was one of the first and most influential books on the that subject that I have ever read. We need more influential books like these that promote the truth and authority of Scripture. Every generation has its "scholars", even among Evangelicals unfortunately, that undermine the doctrine of inerrancy and thus undermine its authority and application.

Carl, I have both "From God to Us" and "A General Introduction to the Bible" by Geisler and Nix in my library. The latter is 603 pages with an additional 100+ page appendix. It goes into even greater depth but essentially covers the same rough outline as "From God to Us." I've referred to "A General Introduction..." countless times over the years. It is one of my top 30 reference books that I keep on the bookshelf right next to my computer for easy reach and I find it extremely helpful. - Daniel

For a long time Geilser was my number one prof and my first at DTS. And, I use a plethora of his stuff. But, he is not an "aged earth, created recently" man so ... Otherwise, one of my long-time heroes.
