A group of men in my church are interested in learning Hebrew which I am able to do adequately, but can anyone recommend a good introductory notebook for teaching the basics? I love the website, www.animatedhebrew.com, but I'd like to put something in their hand. Any thoughts?

This is not a joke I am going to buy Hebrew for dummies I have heard it gives you a great foundation and is fairly cheap

I looked at it and it has strong reviews. I think it's more focused on modern Hebrew, which could be a good thing in some respects, especially if I can get the group to travel to Israel with me, but I was hoping to find something more suited to biblical Hebrew. Thanks for the tip, Shane!

I like "Biblical Hebrew, A Complete Course" (Teach Yourself Books) by R.K. Harrison
And, I like for the slightly advanced: "Introduction to Biblical Hebrew" by Thomas O. Lambdin

Thanks! I have R.K. Harrison's book open on my desk right now. I'll have to look at Lambdin. Really appreciate the tip!

I like Harrison but cut my teeth on Lambdin. Gesenius Hebrew grammar has become a favorite. Fuller and Choi can be very helpful.
