I was reading Levitcus 25 today and in verses 8-12 I was curious about something. In verse 11and 12 it says: that fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of itself nor gather the grapes from the undressed vines. For it is a jubilee. It shall be holy to you. You may eat of the produce of the field.
So my question is why does God say you shall not reap nor sow but then a verse later says you may eat of the produce of the field? Just my thought for today, any help would be highly appreciated.

The fields would spontaneously yield a crop even without the people having to tend the fields. You were allowed to eat anything that came up spontaneously, but you just weren't allowed to stockpile anything in your house or barn. Definitely an exercise in trusting God to provide for you! - Daniel
