I wanted to inform you about a great mission trip that is designed for youth groups and adult volunteers who wish to serve God and His People. I just got back from a week long mission trip with the youth group at my church and it was truly amazing. I have been on international and local missions trips before and this one ranks right at the top.
It is called Blue Print Ministries www.blueprintministries.com 210- 533-2761 and they work out of San Antonio, TX.
Blue Print Ministries helps local families in their community that are at or below the poverty line and who's house is in a dilapidated state. Our group consisted of 25 kids and 7 adults, but there was 3 other churches there consisting of a total of 136 people. The facility is comfortable and inviting. They have service every night of the week with great worship and fantastic messages designed to get the youth engaged and excited about serving God. Everyone is split into teams of about 8 - 12 people and each team is given a specific home to work on all week. It was so great to see the kids meet the home owner and talk with them throughout the day during the water breaks while we are working on their home. Teams will do things like drywall, paint, put up new wood siding, roof, and tile floors.
Everyone of our kids and adults were deeply impacted by this trip. I saw several young people rededicate their life to Jesus and to putting God first. We had a home owner in our group pray to receive Christ, and each of us leaders had opportunities to have deep spiritual conversations with the kids in our groups which resulted in spiritual growth for both of us and a closer relationship with them.
If you have any questions for me personally you post them and I will try to check and answer.
