Fewer Christians and even pastors today are standing their ground on the conviction that marriage is until death. I have felt alone over the years for refusing to officiate second marriages. I salute you, Scott and Brian. I might need to start a new post.

I know I am late to the debate so please forgive me. I have read through the comments here and thought through some things that were said.
First, let me say that this idea that Christians (real Christians) only hate/target/care about/focus on homosexuality as a sin, but do not do this with other sexual sin is largely exaggerated. I, along with all real Christians I have ever met, absolutely hate all forms of sexual sin. Whether rape, molestation, polygamy, adultery etc. We hate it all and speak out against it. As in example; in my last church one of our members cheated on his wife several times and was finally found out. Our elders spoke with him and when it was apparent that there was no remorse and that he was not going to repent he was asked to leave the church and to no longer attend any church event. The reason that it appears on the surface that we focus on homosexuality more is because it is shoved down our throats non-stop as something we should not only accept, but embrace. I have never been told that I should agree with someone who molest children or applaud them as some kind of hero because he "comes out" and says that he likes raping little boys. If I did I would speak out against this as well very publicly. However, every day I am told by the media and society that I am supposed to agree with and applaud homosexuals.
Another reason why we as Christians are more vocal on homosexuality is because of the agenda behind the movement. It is very evident that homosexuals themselves are being used in order to progress a movement against Christian values and God Himself. The enemy is crafty and he has been using the homosexual community to systematically tear down all Christian morals and to push God out of every aspect of our lives. Christians two biggest advisories in America are evolution and homosexuality and we as a church need to wake up to this fact.
Second, on whether we should respond against this movement by voting against laws, i.e. people using a bathroom based on what they "feel" like their sexual orientation is, the answer is yes. I am not advocating violence or hate. What I am saying is that we need to stand firm against any movement designed to go directly against God and call sin a sin. As an example, we see Jesus and Paul do this quite often. When Jesus is in the Temple throwing tables over because they had made a mockery of God and His ways, I see no reason that we are not supposed to stand in opposition to the same type of things. God's will is perfect and His plan just. He has told us that this world would continue to get far worse before He comes back, but this does not give us the excuse to lay back and cover our eyes to the wickedness around us. Prayer is the most important weapon we have and that should be our number one go to for these things. However, there are certain times that we also need to take action. It may just simply be in the form of a vote or it may actually be confronting someone in love.
Lastly, I do love the sinner, but hate the sin. Because I care about them I am very honest with them and tell them point blank that what they are doing is wrong and against what God has designed for them. I am unashamed of the Gospel or any of God's decrees of immorality whether in public or private setting. I will always speak truth in love. I personally do not go out of my way to confront homosexuals or attend their rally's while holding up signs, but I do vote when I have a chance against anything that supports homosexuality, I do my best to never patron a shop that openly supports homosexuality (such as starbucks), I teach my children and my students that it is 100% wrong, and when confronted by people about homosexuality I always speak the truth of God's Word in love regardless of who it may offend. Let's face it God's Word is offensive and it is foolishness to those who are perishing. It is designed that way because it is only when in conflicts with your choices and the way you live that you recognize your sinful state and your need of a Savior.
The only reason this is even an issue is because Satan has used media to influence society in a way that has changed homosexuality from a sinful act into a personal lifestyle that is to be applauded and embraced. Whats worse is the church (in general) has allowed this thought to penetrate into it's members and has sat back in silence while our flock is being devoured by these attacks. The church has not spoke about the subject for quite sometime for fear of offending or because it was taboo and now the damage is done. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
