Is the path I take in life really a path I have chosen? Or is it that God has directed each step of "my" path causing me to step where He pleases?
This has made me curious for many years -- I look back at how my parents raised me, the values they taught me, etc. I certainly believe some, maybe all of my childhood has helped to make me who I am today. I can also look at where I have deviated from my parents values - principles - etc. and come to my own life beliefs/conclusions.
We have so many different types of churches that claim to follow Jesus - if the above is true and God does direct "our" path, why would we have so many beliefs/churches?
If its not true - then how exactly does he involve himself in my daily life, in that of my families daily life? How much does he involve himself in our daily lives?
**BTW: I'm looking for a little more in way of answer than just "Sin" has caused it.
**I couldn't really make up my mind how to ask what was in my brain -- so, the above is what you all get ...ha

Been swamped the last few days, but let me throw down a late night thought. When is an eagle most free? When it is swimming or flying? When is a cheetah most free? When it is hopping or running? Eagles were made to fly. Cheetahs were made to run. We are most free when we are doing what God made us to do. One can argue that an eagle should be free to swim if it wants. Perhaps so, but is that really freedom? Freedom to do what God has designed for us to do is the truest definition of freedom. We have been created with a purpose. We are free! More later .... What a tough question!
